ABOUT TAMARA

Tamara is a musical director and musical supervisor, currently based in London, England.  Her work has been seen across the UK and internationally.  She is originally from Toronto, Canada where she worked within the  Canadian  theatre industry before relocating to London in 2016. 

Tamara is a trained classical pianist.  She studied for fifteen years under the tutelage of Marina Geringas and Susan Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto.  She was then accepted in to the prestigious  Glenn Gould School  within the Conservatory of Toronto. Later, Tamara went on earn a Masters degree in Musical Direction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.  

Her work as a musical director encompasses full-scale productions, workshops, recording sessions, concerts and TV events. 

 

As musical director/supervisor she regularly collaborates with Sir Trevor Nunn, and has supervised and conducted new scores written by  Stiles and Drewe, George Fenton and Steven Schwartz among others.

Tamara is very passionate about supporting the development of new musical theatre.  She regularly leads development processes, has done over 25 workshops of new musicals and supports as musical director/supervisor, musical dramaturg, and arranger.  

Tamara guest lectures at several colleges including Arts Ed, Trinity Laban, Mountview, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, LAMDA, PPA, WAC , Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Associated Studios.
